Sapporo short fest stands for Sapporo international short film festival and market. In September or October, it has been held every year since 2006. In this festival, short films which last from 1 min to 30 mins are collected from all over the world. Film market is held at the same time.
Although I wrote this article after the festival, I could find some of the films which were submitted for the festival in YouTube. So, I watched some of those films. I barely watch short films, while I like movies. This time, I found some of they were so attractive. Within the short minutes, these films took me their own world.
For example, “Weather The Storm” impressed me because the sadness of the main character losing his wife could be felt, while the pictures were so cute. This film is less than 5 minutes, but it has the power enough to impress audiences. It was nice to know the attractiveness of short films. However, I wonder whether I would watch a short film with the same fee of a feature film.
