Physical happiness

"What is politics? Politics is daily life!" One of the most representative Japanese politicians, Kakuei Tanaka said.

What he said was that politics is not for justice but daily life. It means that people should have jobs and be fed. The state shouldn't fight foreign countries. We should live peacefully.

Is that his unique idea? No, it is one of typical idea of this country. That's why he was supported by people for a long time.

Japanese tend to prefer physical happiness rather than metaphysical ideology. They loved a happy life rather than political justice. They were interested in the buddha statue rather than buddha teaching. They haven't invented great technology like the camera, but they made Canon and Nikon.

If you come to Japan, you will find what I mean. It makes foreigners easy to adjust to Japanese society. Don't think, just feel!
